Member ReCOGNITION & AWARDS Committee
Hundreds of volunteers are actively engaged in Association activities, serving on the ESTA Board, Committees or Working Groups. ESTA would not exist without these individuals, who volunteer their valuable time for the betterment of the industry; many of them go well beyond the call. The Member Recognition & Awards Committee was introduced to promote participation in ESTA and to pay tribute to those Members who are dedicated to making a difference. Volunteers are not paid -- not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless.

The Committee recognizes distinguished, veteran Members through the Eva Swan Award, which is given to deserving Members for a lifetime body of work and to recognize their continuing labor for ESTA. To annually recognize Members who have rendered outstanding ESTA volunteer service - within the year of the events - this Committee awards the Frank Stewart Volunteer of the Year Award, established in honor of Frank's remarkable and lengthy service to ESTA. The Rock Our World Awards allows the committee to recognize groundbreaking achievement by ESTA members in new products, product applicaitons or projects and acknoledges the genius of both the creator of technology and the designer or integrator who applies the technology in a real world environment.

Vision:
The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is just that little extra. This Committee aims to encourage participation in ESTA by identifying those Members whose notable work should be acknowledged and rewarding Members for their enduring work for the Association.

Mission:
Volunteering helps you meet new people and breaks down barriers of misunderstanding, mistrust and fear.  Volunteering can create new contacts which may help your business or career. Certainly the volunteers of ESTA are to be commended. The Member Recognition & Awards Committee’s mission is to reward those Members whose continuing excellence in volunteerism has fostered the work of the Association.
